Window frame – Painting rules
A new window or a frame can make you feel you renew your house but if you want to feel it for long you better attend them.
There’s only one way to renew your old windowframe, after the attend you ground it and then paint it. Besides that the right ground coat and right paint is not enough for the best result. If the frame was never paint to a color, then you had to oil it thoroughly and ground it.Wihtout these steps the water go inner but the oiled frame is waterproof.
Next step is the grounding with a very similar color to the covering layer. For the best result you should polish it before everything.
When you’ll paint the frame you better use adhesive patch if you want to skip the cleaning of the windows and also take down the window handle.
A useful advice: the best condition for painting the window is the dry weather.
